Devils Lake Public School District is currently seeking individual for Transportation and Maintenance Administration Assistant position just opened.
Terms of Employment: 12 months
Hours: 8 hours day generally based on 8-5 with 60-minute duty free lunch break.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Qualifications: Reliable in terms of good work attendance and punctuality. Good communication and interpersonal skill. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Have good team-management and leadership skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to use computers, office equipment and keep records and an ability to read and update maps.
Job Goal: To facilitate and coordinate a safe, effective and efficient transportation system for students. To direct, and carry out general office, maintenance and transportation responsibilities to ensure that all students are provided an appropriate educational environment in which to learn.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
1. Information collection, sorting and maintaining between schools, parents and drivers to determine bus routes and student rosters.
2. Maintain bus driver files to ensure all bus drivers are fully qualified.
3. Check in AM/PM and coordinate with buses/routes to be sure all students are accounted for.
4. Compile reports for monthly payroll and state reporting
5. Assist Transportation Maintenance Supervisor with ordering and record keeping of necessary building and grounds supplies and equipment.
6. Verify all transportation department expenditures, balance vendor statements, code invoices for payment.
7. Complete state reports - Vehicle Inventory - STARS School Bus Routes Report.
8. Any other duties as assigned by the Transportation and Maintenance Supervisor.
